      I do not know what it is to see into the heart of a friend through that "window of the soul, " the eye. I can only "see" through my finger tips the outline of a face. I can detect laughter, sorrow, and many other obvious emotions. I know my friends from the feel their faces. But I cannot really picture their personalities by touch. I know their personalities, of course, through other means, through the thoughts they express to me.       Martin Luther King, Jr., a minister and the grandson of a slave, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. The award was a fitting recognition of the worldwide awareness of and respect for Dr. King's achievements. To promote his philosophy of nonviolent protest against segregation and other kinds of social injustice, Dr. King organized a series of "marches" which brought together thounsands of protesters to make concrete and tangible the plight of many of his black brothers and sisters.
